Stringee., JSC (the “Stringee”) knows that you care about how your information is used and shared, and takes your privacy seriously. Please read the following to learn more about our Privacy Policy. By visiting the Stringee’s web site at http://www.stringee.com (the “Web Site”), or using any of our services, you acknowledge that you accept the practices and policies outlined in this Privacy Policy.

What does this Privacy Policy cover?

This Privacy Policy covers Stringee’s treatment of information that Stringee gathers when you are accessing the Web Site and when you use our services. This Privacy Policy describes how Stringee collects and uses the information you provide on our Web Site and services. It also describes the choices available to you regarding our use of your information and how you can access and update this information. This policy does not apply to the practices of companies that Stringee does not own or control, or to individuals that Stringee does not employ or manage.

EU-U.S. Privacy Shield

Stringee (and its subsidiary company Stringee Australia Pty Limited participates in and has certified its compliance with the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework. Stringee is committed to subjecting all personal data received from European Union (EU) member countries, in reliance on the Privacy Shield Framework, to the Framework’s applicable Principles. Stringee is responsible for the processing of personal data it receives, under the Privacy Shield Framework, and subsequently transfers to a third party acting as an agent on its behalf. Stringee complies with the Privacy Shield Principles for all onward transfers of personal data from the EU, including the onward transfer liability provisions.

With respect to personal data received or transferred pursuant to the Privacy Shield Framework, Stringee is subject to the regulatory enforcement powers of the U.S. Federal Trade Commission. In certain situations, Stringee may be required to disclose personal data in response to lawful requests by public authorities, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements.

If you have an unresolved privacy or data use concern that we have not addressed satisfactorily, please contact our U.S.-based third party dispute resolution provider (free of charge) at https://feedback-form.truste.com/watchdog/request.

Under certain conditions, more fully described on the Privacy Shield website [https://www.privacyshield.gov/article?id=How-to-Submit-a-Complaint], you may invoke binding arbitration when other dispute resolution procedures have been exhausted.

Stringee complies with the U.S. – Swiss Safe Harbor Framework as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use and retention of personal data from Switzerland. Stringee has certified that it adheres to the Safe Harbor Privacy Principles of notice, choice, onward transfer, security, data integrity, access, and enforcement. What information does Stringee collect from you?

We collect and store the following types of information from our users:

Information You Provide to Us:

We receive and store any information you enter on the Web Site or provide to us in any other way.The types of information collected include your name, e-mail address, and any other data you actively choose to provide. You may choose not to provide us with certain information, but then you may not be able to take advantage of many of our special features. The information you provide is used for such purposes as responding to your requests for certain information, products and services, customizing the advertising and content you see, and communicating with you about specials and new features. You may modify or remove any of your account information at any time by logging into your account and accessing features to edit your profile and account information.

We collect but do not store your credit card information. Our billing system subcontractor, who is PCI-DSS compliant, stores this information.

Information Collected Automatically:

As is true of most web sites and platform prodivders, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information may include Internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, the file viewed on our site (e.g., HTML pages, graphics, etc.), operating system, date/time stamp, and/or clickstream data to analyze trends in the aggregate and administer the site and platform. IP addresses are hashed after 30 days.

We do not link this automatically collected data to other information we collect about you.

E-mail Communications:

We may receive correspondence from you from time to time in connections with our Web Site and our services, including questions you may have about this Privacy Policy, customer support interactions or other matters.

What About Cookies?

Stringee and its partners use cookies or similar technologies to analyze trends, administer the website, track users’ movements around the website, and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. You can control the use of cookies at the individual browser level, but if you choose to disable cookies, it may limit your use of certain features or functions on our website or service.

We partner with a third party to either display advertising on our Web Site or to manage our advertising on other sites. Our third party partner may use technologies such as cookies to gather information about your activities on this site and other sites in order to provide you advertising based upon your browsing activities and interests. If you wish to not have this information used for the purpose of serving you interest-based ads, you may opt-out by clicking  here (or if located in the European Union click here). Please note this does not opt you out of being served ads.  You will continue to receive generic ads.

How do we use information collected from you?

We want to give you and all of our users the best possible services and a positive user experience. We use the information we collect from you in the following ways:

Will Stringee share any of the information it receives?

We neither rent nor sell your information to anyone. We don’t share your information with other organizations or individuals outside of Stringee, except as described below.

  • With our affiliates and trusted business partners that cooperate with us to provide you our services or in collecting, storing or processing your information for us. We only provide them with the information they need to perform their specific obligations and we require them to do so based on our instructions and in compliance with this Privacy Policy and any other appropriate confidentiality and security measures.

We may share Aggregate Data publicly and with our partners. For example, we may share information publicly to show trends about the general use of our Web Site and our service. Your information may be stored and processed in the United States or any other country in which Stringee, its affiliates, subsidiaries, or service providers maintain servers. As such, Stringee reserves the right to transfer your information outside of the country in which you live. By using our Web Site and our services you consent to any such transfer.

If Stringee is involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, we will continue to ensure the confidentiality of any personal information and give affected users notice before personal information is transferred or becomes subject to a different privacy policy. You will be notified via email and/or a prominent notice on our Web Site of any change in ownership or uses of your information, as well as any choices you may have regarding your information.

Is information about me secure?

Your Stringee account information is protected by a password for your privacy and security. You need to ensure authorized access to your account and information by selecting and protecting your password appropriately and limiting access to your computer and browser by signing off after you have finished accessing your account.

When you enter sensitive information (such as a credit card number or login credentials) on our forms, we encrypt the transmission of that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL). Stringee endeavors to protect user information to ensure that user account information is kept private, however, Stringee cannot guarantee the security of user account information. Unauthorized entry or use, hardware or software failure, and other factors may compromise the security of user information at any time. You may change the privacy settings of your profile through your account portal. If you believe that an unauthorized profile has been created about you, you can request for it be removed by contacting us at info@stringee.com.

The Stringee support forum requires you to be an existing Stringee customer to post to it. Your profile and settings can be managed through your general account settings. To delete your profile you will need to cancel your Stringee account.

The Web Site contains links to other sites. Stringee is not responsible for the privacy policies and/or practices on other sites. When linking to another site a user should read the privacy policy stated on that site. This Privacy Policy only governs information collected on the Web Site.

Our Web Site also includes Social Media Features, such as the Facebook Like button and Widgets, such as the Share this button or interactive mini-programs that run on our Web Site. These Features may collect your IP address, which page you are visiting on our site, and may set a cookie to enable the Feature to function properly. Social Media Features and Widgets are either hosted by a third party or hosted directly on our Web Site. Your interactions with these Features are governed by the privacy policy of the company providing it.

Please be aware that whenever you voluntarily post information to public areas on the Web Site or any other public forums, such information can be accessed by the public.

Our blog is managed by a third party application that may require you to register to post a comment. We do not have access or control of the information posted to the blog. You will need to contact or login into the third party application if you want the information that was posted to the comments section removed. To learn how the third party application uses your information, please review their privacy policy.

We also display Success Stories of satisfied customers on our site in addition to other endorsements. With your consent we may post your Success Story along with your name. If you wish to update or delete your testimonial, you can contact us at info@stringee.com.

Stringee allows you to access the following information about you for the purpose of viewing, and in certain situations, updating that information by logging in to your account or contacting us at info@stringee.com. We will respond to your request to access within 30 days. This list will change as the Web Site changes. You may currently access the following information:

  • user profile,
  • user preferences, and
  • video and image content in your account.

What other choices do I have?

As stated previously, you can always opt not to disclose information, even though it may be needed to take advantage of certain Stringee features.

You are able to add or update certain information on pages, such as those listed in the “What information Can I Access” section above. When you update information, however, we often maintain a copy of the unrevised information in our records.

We will retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. You may request deletion of your Stringee account or if you wish to cancel your account or request that we no longer use your information to provide you services contact us at info@stringee.com. Please note that some information may remain in our records after deletion of your account. We will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Stringee may use a user’s e-mail address to send updates, a newsletter or news regarding the Web Site or Stringee services. Please note that if you do not want to receive legal notices from us, such as this Privacy Policy, those legal notices will still govern your use of the Web Site, and you are responsible for reviewing such legal notices for changes.

You may choose to stop receiving our newsletter or marketing emails by following the unsubscribe instructions included in these emails, accessing the email preferences in your accunt settings page, or you can contact us at info@stringee.com.

Information related to data collected for our developers and other clients

Stringee acknowledges that you have the right to access your personal information. Stringee collects information under the direction of its developers and other clients, and has no direct relationship with the end users whose personal data it processes. If you are a customer of one of our developers or other clients that use our service and would no longer like to be contacted by them, please contact the developer or other client of ours that you interact with directly. We may transfer certain information related to data collected for our developers or other clients to companies that help us provide our service. Transfers of such information to subsequent third parties are covered by the service agreements between Stringee and its developers or other clients.

An end user who seeks access, or who seeks to correct, amend, or delete inaccurate data should direct his query to the Stringee’s developer or other client (the data controller). If requested to remove data we will respond within 30 days.

We will retain personal data we process on behalf of our developers and other clients for as long as needed to provide services to our developer or other client Stringee will retain this information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

Stringee may make changes to this Privacy Policy from time to time for any reason. Use of information we collect now is subject to the Privacy Policy in effect at the time such information is used. If we make any material changes or changes in the way we use information, we will notify you via e-mail or by posting an announcement on the Web Site prior to the change becoming effective. Users are bound by any changes to the Privacy Policy when he or she uses the Web Site after such changes have been first posted.
